P90X The Beginning

Hello and welcome to my blog.

If you've come across this blog then your probably either using the P90X fitness exercise DVDs and nutrition plan, or your thinking about it and looking to get as much information as possible to aid with your decision. Well that was me about a week ago. After spending much time browsing the internet and youtube for p90x I decided to take the plunge.

To do the course you are required to have a certain amount of equipment and to have a certain fitness level. On both accounts my preparation is minimal.

Equipment
I currently live in rented accomodation so putting a chin bar in the door could end in being homeless and loosing my deposit so I've tried to steer clear of this option.

I currently have:

20kg york dumbells
The Max Tension Bodylastics resistance bands kit.
A girly yoga mat that I'm 'borrowing' from my significant other.

and thats pretty much it.

Fitness
I am not a very fit person. I'm 5ft 11inches and am close to 15stone = 210lbs which means I have a bit of a belly and could do with tightening up. In terms of exercise I get a walk now and again but thats about the height of it.

This blog will track my journey from fat to fit and hopefully by the end of it I'll have some good results to report. I've never done anything like this before and I am complete and utter noob.

I'll also post pictures of my spare tire to show where I've come from and where I've gone. I hope you can join me on this journey!
